Research Manager

Lene Lauge Berring

Lene's research focuses on organizational and user-participatory strategies to promote recovery and help people cope with psychological pain. Among these, Lene's focus areas are the prevention of violence and coercion in psychiatry through empowering care interventions such as de-escalation and Safewards. Through qualitative and user-participatory research methods, Lene investigates how practice-based principles can influence daily life on psychiatric wards and create environments that prevents violence and coercion. Furthermore, Lene is interested in how these methods can be used within other hospital specialties such as somatic emergency departments. As the research is action-oriented, practical results such as teaching programs, guidelines and mobile applications are concurrently produced.
